A pair of Black bellied Whistling Tree Ducks visiting an urban backyard nest box.

Two clutches of eggs may be laid from May through August.

Both participate in incubating and tending their nest of up to 12-16 eggs.

Ducklings hatch after 25 days and leave the nest box in search of food just a day or two after hatching.
