Black bellied Whistling "Tree" Ducks or Dendrocygna autumnalis
This is the female duck with her eggs on the morning of 5/5/2016.
Until 5/6/16 the ducks spent just a few hours in the nest box each day.
After the final egg was laid the duck pair started taking 24 hour turns incubating the eggs around the clock.
The ducks rarely look out of the box while tending to the eggs.
Average incubation period is 25 to 30 days so hatching due dates start 5/31/2016.
