Color video of Black-bellied Whistling-Duck incubating eggs inside nest box

Each duck does a 24 hour shift sitting on the eggs

During the morning the sun shines into the box while the duck snoozes

The sleeping never lasts long as the eggs must be frequently rotated

Black-bellied Whistling-Ducks (Dendrocygna autumnalis) also nest on the ground when suitable tree cavities are scarce
